116 Students bag Diploma Certificates as John Bosco Institute of Technology Holds it 29th Convocation.
John Bosco Institute of Technology, Oke-Odunwo, Ondo State

The 29th Convocation Ceremony of John Bosco Institute of Technology (JOBITECH) Oke-Odunwo Ondo for the award of Diplomas was held on Saturday, 19th March 2022 at Fr. Italo Spangnolo’s Auditorium. A total of 116 candidates were awarded a Diploma at the event. The convocation was attended by the Representatives of the Honourable Commissioner for Education: Mrs Adelayi, the Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Board for Adult, Technical and Vocational Education and Mr Adegbehingbe, the Director of School Services, Board for Adult, Technical and Vocational Education.

The Public Relations Officer of Federal Polytechnic Ile Oluji, the Registrar and other members of the polytechnic accompanied the Rector in the person of Professor Emmanuel Adebayo Fasakin to witness the conferment proceedings. Also in attendance, was the Delegate of Nigeria Delegation of the Salesian of Don Bosco in the person of Rev. Fr. Anthony Oche, the National Job Service Officer, also the President Don Bosco Alumni Association of Nigeria in the person of Engr. Cletus ETUKAPAN as well as a Representative of the Vice-Chancellor, Ondo State University of Medical Sciences.

The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. JohnPaul UCHENDU (SDB) the Institute Director.
The keynote address was delivered by Professor Emmanuel Adebayo Fasakin, the Rector, The Federal Polytechnic Ile- Oluji. His addresscenters on ‘‘Technical and Vocational Education Training: A Tool for Sustainable Job Creation in Contemporary Nigeria’’, he admonished everyone to be skillful as TVET is the only aspect of Education that breaks the barrier of unemployment in Nigeria.

A valedictory speech was given by the best graduating student Odeyemi John.
